This is why our site is called The Political Carnival.

Via Public Policy Polling:

5% of primary voters would pick Colbert.  He runs behind Mitt Romney's 27%, Newt Gingrich's 23%, Rick Santorum's 18%, Ron Paul's 8%, and Rick Perry's 7%.  But he's beating out Jon Huntsman's 4% and Buddy Roemer's 1%.

There are more fun facts at the link. Pdf of entire poll here.

Speaking of Political Carnival, it's fundrasing time again:

If we are one thing here at TPC, it's being up front. We need to raise funds so we don't have to worry about expenses for the next three months, both for site upkeep and our own mounting bills.

2012 will be a hugely busy (election) year, and we intend to dedicate all of our time to bringing you the latest breaking news (and humor, snarkitude, videos, commentary)... which means not having to worry about basic things like heat and food, what with Mr. Laffy being out of work in two weeks and both of us chronically unemployed and completely devoted literally 24/7 to TPC.

You can donate at any time by using the PayPal donate button in the sidebar, or if you need a snail mail addy, feel free to email thepolicalcarnival@gmail.com.

In addition, if anyone wants to sponsor us for three months with an ad in the sidebar, please email Paddy. Since it's an election year, any ad will be getting increased views.

Without donations, we have no Political Carnival. We have no way to fight for you, for our principles, or just to make you laugh from time to time.

Please, though, never forget that we truly appreciate you guys with or without the donations. Every single day.
