UPDATE: More denial here.

I got this in an email alert, and here’s the link:

POLITICO EXCLUSIVE: During Herman Cain’s tenure as the head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, at least two female employees complained to colleagues and senior association officials about inappropriate behavior by Cain, ultimately leaving their jobs at the trade group, multiple sources confirm to POLITICO.

The women complained of sexually suggestive behavior by Cain that made them angry and uncomfortable, the sources said, and they signed agreements with the restaurant group that gave them financial payouts to leave the association. [...]

These incidents include conversations allegedly filled with innuendo or personal questions of a sexually suggestive nature, taking place at hotels during conferences, at other officially sanctioned restaurant association events and at the association’s offices. There were also descriptions of physical gestures that were not overtly sexual but that made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable and that they regarded as improper in a professional relationship.

Cain won’t respond directly to these allegations and says he’s  “vaguely familiar” with the situation and his spokesman is calling it a smear campaign.

Mr. Conservative Family Values.

Let Cain quickly put these allegations to rest by submitting to a polygraph test by an independent  agency……also polygraph the accusers.

    Next stop…US Supreme Court!

he’s “vaguely familiar” with the situation???  Seems to me if  two people had accused you of doing something inappropriate it would kind of stick in your mind…unless this is the kind of thing that happens a lot…

You’re confusing “afraid” with pointing and laughing.

It is a smear campaign. Get over it. You are trying to bring up something from over 15 years ago from “anonymous sources”?  Man you guys are desperate & obviously very afraid of Mr. Cain.

Cain’s an idiot to begin with. I hope more of his indiscretions are revealed asap. For an AA man to claim he never dealt with racism in his life—in this country, during the Civil Rights Era?—-shows he’s a liar, a buffoon, and and absolute fool. As an AA man myself, I’m particularly offended by his presence in the field.
