Half assed victory, but I’ll take it. Via Taegan-

The Indiana legislature has decided to drop the “right-to-work” provision aimed at reducing the influence of unions, following calls by Gov. Mitch Daniels (R-IN) to kill the measure and the abandonment of the state capitol by House Democrats to prevent a vote, the Louisville Courier-Journal reports.

Said Senate President David Long (R): “It was a mistake.”

Of course, as Ben Smith notes, Daniels didn’t want a fight because he’s already taken, by executive order when he took office, much of what Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) wants in his stand off with unions.

I guess it was a mistake when you have those crazy working class people wanting to recall those supporting this mindless hate to take even more. I will bet among these booze swilling hate mongering bunch that sit around babbling and having breakfast lunch and dinner begging for dollars and making sure their pay increases are automatic there is little time spent on review and creation of actual law. If it wasn’t for their RWNJ supporters writing it there would be little done. Maybe it is time for a comparative audit to determine the actual time spent working on and debating the law in session on the floor compared to 30 years ago and reduce their salary and staff accordingly.
