Well, Willard M. Romney sure showed America! No tax returns for you! He'll stay as secretive as he wants, so there!
After all, why should we know anything about a presidential candidate's finances before an election? Why should we have access to information that might shed light on his overseas bank accounts or suspected gaming of the U.S. tax code to evade paying his fair share, especially someone who pays a much loser tax rate than most Americans? That would be so intrusive!
(CNN) - Mitt Romney's campaign said Monday they would not release any more of the candidate's personal income tax information, despite an acknowledgement from Romney that he had been audited in the past.
"Mitt Romney has paid his taxes in full compliance with U.S. Law, and he has paid 100 percent of what he has owed," Romney spokesman Ryan Williams wrote.
Who needs transparency anyway? I mean, look how well things turned out for the last GOP candidate who wasn't properly vetted!
