Remember this post? PhotOH! Are you the 99% that holds the chair, or the 1% that stands on it? Guess which Mitt Romney is… ?
We have a sequel, courtesy of Say It Ain’t So Already who provided a screen grab taken from the “When Mitt Romney Came to Town” video.
Smile for the camera, Mr. 1%, as your deductible servant spiffs up your deductible Pradas so you don’t scuff up your deductible corporate jet (note: see update below):
Just guessing, but the fellow who’s doing the shining probably pays a higher percentage of his income in taxes than GOP Candidate Affluence does. So much for income equality.
You know who I don’t envy? Willard Romney.
Big hat tip to my dear friend @Watergatesummer.
ADDED: Two things: One, someone points out that that isn’t a shoe shine, but a security wand. Ed Schultz refers to it as a shoe shine, as does Bloomberg, and Politifact refers to same, but just to be safe, I’ve added “Captionary” to the post/title. Paddy and I still can’t tell, so let’s leave it as a caption contest to be safe. UPDATE: Our commenter was right! It’s a wand. So the Captionary addition stands.
Next, I’d forgotten all about this photo until Paddy reminded me. Compare and contrast:
Remember when putting his feet up on a desk was condemned by the Obama-hating Republicans? Remember the screams and protests? Does anyone hear the GOP whining about Willard and his hypocritical shoe shine moment?
I didn’t think so.
