Remember this claim from Willard M. Romney back in May?

Everyone was mighty impressed, what with his ability to raise over $10 million buckaroos in one day! Wowzers!

I'm sorry, one moment... I'm hearing something in my imaginary earpiece from a producer I don't have who is telling me otherwise.

Well, shut my mouth and call me gullible. Turns out that was a steaming heap of GOPucky!

Willard, Willard, Willard, did you not realize you could be fact checked? Between Think Progress and the L.A. Times, Romney will have to start playing a good game of CYA, because his just got uncovered:

So how was it that, after raising over $10 million in one day, the campaign recently announced it only raised $15 to $20 million for the entire quarter? [...]

The former Massachusetts governor’s campaign told reporters in May that he had raised $10 million in a one-day phone-a-thon in Las Vegas. But the amount actually represented pledges gathered earlier and tallied that day, not just funds actually taken in by the campaign.

File under, "What little credibility Willard had has now evaporated." Poof!

POOF!
