Sarah Palin in Haiti under “security lockdown”, Greta and Fox only media allowed

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin began a tightly stage-managed visit to Haiti on Saturday in which she visited cholera clinics while avoiding crowds and the press.

The 2008 vice presidential candidate was a guest of Rev. Franklin Graham, whose aid group works in the impoverished country. Haiti is facing a brutal cholera epidemic while struggling with an electoral crisis and reconstruction from the January earthquake.

Palin, who traveled in part by helicopter, provided access on her tour solely to the U.S. cable network Fox News.

Graham’s organization, Samaritan’s Purse, refused to discuss Palin’s itinerary with other media and asked Haitian and American reporters to leave its compounds, citing a “security lockdown.”

“I’ve really enjoyed meeting this community. They are so full of joy*,” Palin was quoted as saying on the organization’s website. “We are so fortunate in America, and we are responsible for helping those less fortunate.”

    Why the Big Push with Sarah Palin these days? What are her handlers doing here? I can’t help but think “Manchurian” “Diebold” type of situation in ’12. Call me crazy but who in their right mind “trusts” the GOP…

    Palin is nothing more than a shallow person doing everything she can to just promote herself. Maybe when she fails at getting the presidency she’ll just go away. Will she ever be president? NO! She may think she can but that will never happen. Wht doesn’t she get in touch with the Rep. Sen. who’s blocking aid to Haiti instead of just a photo op for her.

    When Sarah as Gov had the responsibility of helping her own citizens who were threatened with the choice of freezing or starving, in the winter of 08-09, due to restrictions on their salmon catch and soaring fuel prices –
    Sarah took them cookies she baked (I’m not kidding) and Graham’s 3rd world aide group (I’m not kidding.)
    Oh and of course cameras.

    She is about as compassionate and carig of those less fortunate as a pit viper.

    She’s so full of shit, it’s crazy. We are all talking about Palin as if she had credentials of some kind, she’s a washed up 1/2 term gov of the meth capital of the nation. She lost her VP bid 4 damn good reasons, SHE’S CRAZY! Fox described as media is laughable. Boobs n big hair r prerequisites 4 women, 4 men it’s old, white, n rich. Her looks will fade but she’s always be stupid.
