VIDEO- President Obama’s entire UAW Speech: “Since when are hardworking men and women special interests?”

UPDATE, here’s the entire speech via WhiteHouse.gov (h/t: @mykukla):

President Obama knocked it out of the park in his speech today. I’m still hunting for the full version, but TPM has this fiery excerpt:

“You want to talk about values?” Hard work, that’s a value. Looking out for one another, that’s a value. The idea that we’re all in it together, that I am my brother’s keeper, I am my sister’s keeper, that is a value!”

“But they’re still talking about you as if you’re some greedy special interest that needs to be beaten. Since when are hardworking men and women special interests? Since when is the idea that we look out for each other a bad thing?”

Kick. Ass.

And as opposed to his GOP rivals, he appears to be enjoying his work.

Here’s one more that picks up where the first video leaves off, at about 1:00:

You can go to CSPAN and view the entire speech here.

OVER.

Detroit won’t give Mitt Romney a hometown welcome

Willard Romney may call himself the “son of Detroit,” but when he shows up there today, he won’t exactly get a rousing welcome.

See what happens when you write an op-ed titled, “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt”?

Via USNews:

The United Auto Workers union, a big Democratic donor, will protest Romney’s appearance by orchestrating a grand display of American-made cars that spell out “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt.” [...]

Michiganders won’t forget how, in their hour of need, he turned his back on an iconic American industry, the city of Detroit, the state of Michigan and millions of American jobs,” UAW wrote in a note to protestors.

Don’t mess with the UAW, and don’t diss the success of the auto industry, genius.

Then again, shooting himself in the foot is the one thing at which Willard excels.
