VIDEO: America Doesn't Need a Birther-in-Chief

Even if Willard Romney's not a racist, and he is now being accused of racism, he's clearly desperate enough to feel it necessary to pander to them.

Holding out hope Romney had a vision for the middle class? Think again.

Mitt Romney: "No one's ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised."

Embracing unfounded conspiracy theories, distracting from real issues.

America doesn't need a Birther-in-Chief.

VIDEO: "If you're trying to ingratiate yourself to birthers at this point, you're losing by a landslide."

Joy Ann Reid nailed it in the last 7 seconds (above):

"If you're trying to ingratiate yourself to birthers at this point, you're losing by a landslide."

Actually, they all did. This entire segment was an excellent summary of exactly who Willard Rommey and Co. are:

So Willard, we've all seen President Obama's birth certificate, but where are your tax returns, hmm?

"See any pattern here? Repeat the lie and deny you believe it."

Today's L.A. Times letters to the editor, because our voices matter:

Re "Truth, lies and Obama," Opinion, July 31

Jonah Goldberg does exactly what author David Maraniss addressed in his Op-Ed piece that Goldberg was opining on: repeat the lies and add, "I think Maraniss is a great reporter, and I don't believe for a moment he is in on a cover-up of Obama's real place of birth or his secret Muslim faith."

See any pattern here? Repeat the lie and deny you believe it. Goldberg and his ilk want you to believe that President Obama wasn't properly vetted. He goes on to blame Obama and the "journalistic establishment" for the lies. What a gloriously accommodating phrase that is: journalistic establishment.

By the way, when most of us voted for Obama in 2008 as "a unifier, a pragmatist and a non-ideologue," we knew he would have to govern with Republican obstructionists in Congress — hardly the vacuum Goldberg would have us believe the president has been governing in.

So Goldberg has no trouble believing that journalists have been duped about Obama's "real" relationship with Bill Ayers (among other supposed duplicities)? But wait a minute, isn't Goldberg himself a journalist? Why hasn't he uncovered anything of substance?

Could it be that perhaps there is nothing to be found?

I am so thoroughly tired of these kinds of ad hominem attacks and the media's willingness to entertain them in the supposed interests of journalistic "balance." And so the myth of the "liberal" media continues.

VIDEO: Wolf Blitzer and birther Donald Trump talk birth certificates and Wolf's "small ratings"

UPDATE: Here's the whole thing, thanks to Mediaite, where they're very good at getting video up quickly:

"A lot of people don't agree with that birth certificate."

Well then, case closed.

"Donald, you're beginning to sound a little ridiculous."

 A little??

Wolf: What did your people find? Trump: That's old news.

Trump: I really wanted to talk about energy, etc. YOU wanted to talk birth certificates.

Trump: George Will's "not a smart person"... because he called me names, waaah! Here's the video of Will calling Trump a "bloviating ignoramus."

Trump, paraphrased: So Wolf, are those your small ratings or are you just happy to see me?

Wolf: How much money will be raised tonight? Trump: A lot. Wolf: Anything else you wanna talk about? Trump: No

And that concludes another in-depth interview with Donald Trump.

So Willard Romney, how's that master plan to slam President Obama on the economy by putting Birther Trump out there working for you?
