Overnight: Maren Kroymann sings 'Wie Ein Tiger'

FacebookTwitterRedditDiggStumbleUponTumblrLinkedInPinterestEmailShare

German

This YT clip is of Maren Kroymann, a German singer, actress, and cabaret performer performing a hit song from 1977 or so,  'wie ein Tiger'.  If you are wondering about her strange body language, she is parodying a German pop singer named Peter Krauss, whom you can see here if you really want to.  I prefer Maren and her band, an amazing guitarist and an amazing piano player. (playing in tiger-skin gloves!).

Man oh man. There was a cover band that did a killer rendition of this at the old Eastown Saloon in Grand Rapids when I was in college, and we used to go cahrazy when they played it. I'm getting old. Obit here.

Obama, Springsteen wrap up Wisconsin campaign

Or:

Meat Loaf sings his endorsment of Mitt Romney.

Not that musical surrogates necessarily define a candidate, but... well, they are a reflection.
