Rep. Barney Frank was on CNN’s State of the Union, and he didn't mince words when GOP Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison "hinted at something bad" regarding the David Petraeus scandal. She implied that the Obama administration or the FBI kept it quiet until after the election, but refused to get too specific with her accusations.
“Are you suggesting there was some coverup, that the FBI are playing games? I think we ought to be explicit about this. I’m troubled by the implication of your statement and are you suggesting that something wasn’t legitimate here? Because that would trouble me.”
"' Excuse me, 'great concerns' is kind of a weasel word…"
"It seems to me frankly you’re kind of hinting at something bad, and I don’t see what that could be."
“I think that if this was an investigation into David Petraeus’s bank account instead of his sex life, all of us would be paying a lot less attention to it.”
A few days ago I posted that “loose cannon” Florida Republican Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll was implicated in a sex scandal. A former aide to Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll said she caught Carroll in “a compromising position” with another aide.
So, of course, the obvious thing to do was deny, deny, deny. And what's the most effective denial ever, in the history of ever? "Well, hey, I can't possibly be gay [Giggle!] because [Giggle!] I don't look like a lesbian!"
"My husband doesn't want to hear that. He knows the type of woman I am, and my kids know the type of woman I am for 29 years. I'm the one that's married for 29 years. The accuser is the one that's single for a long time. [Giggle!] Usually black women that look like me don't engage in relationships like that. [Giggle!]"
Maybe this will enlighten her. Here's what a couple of notable lesbians looks like:
Your point, Ms. Carroll?
