Until now, this has always been my favorite photo of the First Lady:
But the new official White House portrait of Michelle and her "mid-life crisis" bangs is such a winner that we may have a tie:
The photo was taken in the Green Room of the White House just over a week ago. At left is her official portrait taken during her husband's first term in 2009.
Michelle Obama's outer beauty, however, is not the only attractive thing about her. That goes hand in hand with what's inside, how she thinks, how she expresses herself, what she does for others, her intelligence, her integrity, and her warmth. I haven't been this enthusiastic about a First Lady since... well, I can't remember when. It's nice to have this much pride in someone who so clearly cares about so many causes and so many people.
And don't get me started on Sasha and Malia:
President Obama and his beautiful goils Sasha and Malia went Christmas shopping at an Arlington, Virginia book store to promote "small business Saturday."
Or as I like to call it, putting your money where your mouth is.
The idea was to encourage shoppers to spend their money at mom-and-pop businesses, which is exactly what he did when he bought 15 children's books as gifts for family members.
The photo of the president looking at his BlackBerry was snapped as he was looking up a book title.
I love Michelle and the goils, and of course the First Dog BObama. What a gorgeous family the president has.
(CNN)-- This year, military families will be the first to see the 2012 holiday decorations. The official tree in the Blue Room will pay tribute to those serving in the military and will feature decorations by children living on U.S. Military bases around the world, according to information released by the White House.
The line in bold is the meal that Rushbo is whining about as if it was a full slab of ribs and all the trimmings. Guess with all that money he makes he never patronizes any fancy restaurants where the "rib" is likely to be just that- one rib. Rest of the meal sounds pretty damn healthy to me.
VAIL — First lady Michelle Obama enjoyed locally grown fare at a Vail restaurant Saturday night before hitting the slopes of Vail Mountain early Sunday.
Obama and her two daughters, 9-year-old Sasha and 12-year-old Malia — together with some family friends — are spending the Presidents Day holiday weekend in Vail. President Obama did not make the trip.
The first lady went to Restaurant Kelly Liken in Vail Village on Saturday night, dining on a pickled pumpkin salad with arugula and a braised ancho-chile short rib with hominy wild mushrooms and sauteed kale.
Early Sunday morning, Michelle and Sasha Obama showed up at the base of the Eagle Bahn gondola in Lionshead to hit the slopes. They had their passes scanned and headed up the hill.
1. I love Clydesdales with a passion. Furry hooves rock.
2. Malia is going to be 9 feet tall. What a beauty!
3. Sasha, too. What a cutie!
4. Hey, that rhymed!
