Only Pat Robertson -- and his Flock -- Would Denigrate Robin Williams

Share

farrell

This is so far past Ick that new adjectives need forming and disseminating.

But then again, Pat Robertson's middle name is Ick.

Robertson brings it back to liberal sin and excess every time, but targeting the revered and only recently passed Robin Williams was a Christian Slime move of the first water.

Don't you just want to move next-door to that?

Here are a couple of Robertson doozies:

'There is no such thing as separation of church and state in the Constitution. It is a lie of the Left and we are not going to take it anymore.'

dionpalin

'The flooding of New Orleans is a sign that God is tired of seeing his creation mocked by the Mardi Gras and its perverted display of debauchery and exposed breasts.'

Robertson has a catalogue of incidents (or perhaps a roomful of binders) that should have had him certified years and years and years and years and years ago. He's stuck somewhere between 1776 and 1945.

Sad, really … until you think about how many millions (perhaps billions) Robertson and his ilk of Ick have put the tithing squeeze on their subscribers/bank-roll/churchgoers to attain.

She Doubled Dowd

Share

dowd
Maureen Dowd's poison pen is firmly fixated on President Obama again as she adds another coat of resentment onto her 'great disappointment' … she expected what, JFK and Nelson Mandela combined to sit in the Oval Office with nary a visibly difficult domestic or global challenge ahead of them?

The Dowd must have given cannabis gummy bears a whirl. Excerpts below and find the entire column here at The NY Times.

WASHINGTON — As he has grown weary of Washington, Barack Obama has shed parts of his presidency, like drying petals falling off a rose.

He left the explaining and selling of his signature health care legislation to Bill Clinton. He outsourced Congress to Rahm Emanuel in the first term, and now doesn’t bother to source it at all. He left schmoozing, as well as a spiraling Iraq, to Joe Biden. Ben Rhodes, a deputy national security adviser, comes across as more than a messagemeister. As the president floats in the empyrean, Rhodes seems to make foreign policy even as he’s spinning it.

Now why Dowd eviscerated the Dowd's bitterness toward Rev. Al Sharpton takes a bit more probing. Apart from Maureen's MO is frequently being petty, condescending, dismissive and almost personally insulting. Still from the Times.

Once civil rights leaders drew their power from their unimpeachable moral authority. Now, being a civil rights leader can be just another career move, a good brand … the one thing it was impossible to imagine, back in the giddy days of the 2009 inauguration, as Americans basked in their open-mindedness and pluralism, was that the first African-American president would outsource race.

When The Dowd is openly hating on the Democrat sitting president … buckle up, it's going to be a wild ride.

"It's going to take a scandal," McCain Tells Chuck Todd

Share

NO!

In a discussion of the role of money - and the pipe dream of campaign financing reform -- in campaigns and politics, something spilled out of John McCain's old, white pie-hole that made sense. Worlds apparently collided when we were watching the intelligent and informed peoples.

"It's going to take a scandal," the senator fake-mourningly shook his head with a whisper of regret and a shrug of his shoulders to MSNBC's Chuck Todd … who is headed for Meet the Press. Humph.

John McCain

No sympathy for McBombBombs, he's got plenty of plenty. Plus he made that Palin thing happen to us.

This is where lumbering gridlock and champion partisanship run mutually amok, hit each other head-on and produce a brief period of bruising Reality.

Five Children Murdered After They Were Deported Back To Honduras

Share

So now the United States [and the budget conspiracy theorists] has gots some 'splainin' to do.

And by Hannity tonight, by O'Reilly tonight and after Rush Limpbaugh pulls a girl with terrible taste off him and lights a cigar at tea-time, we are going to see a boatload of blame offloaded on the president.

Starting to think Extreme Religionists, Open Gun Fondlers, Homicidal Abortion Opposition and the ones that are really engaged in a war on women should get their own little country.

ThinkProgress has details about this heart-wrenching cycle of poverty and no allocation of resources funded or enforced. Almost seems like a long, long way from Lady Liberty's message.

Between five and ten migrant children have been killed since February after the United States deported them back to Honduras, a morgue director told the Los Angeles Times. Lawmakers have yet to come up with best practices to deal with the waves of unaccompanied children apprehended by Border Patrol agents, but some politicians refute claims that children are fleeing violence and are opting instead to fund legislation that would fast-track their deportations.

San Pedro Sula morgue director Hector Hernandez told the Los Angeles Times that his morgue has taken in 42 dead children since February. According to an interview with relatives by the LA Times, one teenager was shot dead hours after getting deported. Last year, San Pedro Sula saw 187 killings for every 100,000 residents, a statistic that has given the city the gruesome distinction as the murder capital of the world.

This is a truly awful American Exceptionalist category to win.
