NSFW and funny as hell. Via.
A few days ago, Paddy posted Video- SNL: We Did Stop (The Government), a strangely entertaining little parody starring "John Boehner" and "Michele Bachmann" (as played by tongue enthusiast Miley Cyrus). They spoofed the GOP shutdown with their version of “We Can’t Stop."
The "real" Michele Bachmann commented about all that and more in a conference call on a conservative talk show hosted by Rusty Humphries. After going into her usual "impeach President Obama" routine, she responded to the SNL sketch.
Via Right Wing Watch:
...Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota suggested that the House hold hearings on impeaching the president. Bachmann said that “impeachment is the stain” on the presidency and “We can have an impeachment hearing in the House and in my mind the President has committed impeachable offenses.”
Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever so anyway blah blah blah...
“You know, I have a good sense of humor and I never take that personally."
"...The Monday after Saturday Night Live aired, we had a lot of calls in the office, and we had people thought that actually was me in the skit. And let me tell you, as a 57-year-old woman, it’s been a long time since I’ve been confused for a 20 year old.”
“I’ve never done twerking in my life and I don’t intend to take it up.”
Twerk-Free Bachmann? I never thought I'd say these two words to 'Chele, but here I go: Thank you.

Of course that headline is bull-pucky. I know it. You know it. Anyone with a brain knows it.
Fox News DIDN'T KNOW IT.
Evidently when your news gathering sources are tea leaves, crystal balls and tarrot cards, you're bound to make a mistake or two. That's why you have source checkers, fact finders and if nothing else, even good old-fashioned interviews to get a sense of whether or not something can withstand the "sniff" test.
I mean if you read a meteor crashes down on the Capitol and it only wipes out Democrats, you ask how's that possible.
If you hear Ted Cruz is captured by Algerians, tortured for hours, then gets them to name him president, you ask how'd that happen.
And if you hear the government has shut down funding to keep all national museums open, and then hear one museum has remained open by the president's personal bankrolling, you ask, how that's happened.
At least you should.
But you're dealing with Fox News. Fact checking has never been their forte. As a matter of practice, it's frowned upon over there. It's hard enough to report opinions as news, now we should hold them up to sourcing their stories? Unthinkable. Well not according to Gawker and echoed in Mediamatters :
The Fox News report of Obama using his own money to keep a Muslim Museum open was reported by Fox News host Anna Kooiman. She claimed that President Obama has "has offered to pay out of his own pocket for the museum of Muslim culture." Problem being, besides the complete lie she told about the president, is that a museum by that name in Washington D.C. doesn't even exist.
Here you go, see if for yourself. It comes right after Tucker Carlson, the dufus to her right, says that it doesn't cost anything to keep a park, cemetery or monument open. I guess security, clean-up crews and maintenance just show up as needed and at no cost. It has to be some bubble these Fox News bobble heads live in:

Really. How dumb do these people at Fox have to be to qualify for a job as a news writer over there?
