Over at Cole's place the other day someone asked who is the politician and/or political person you'd most like to get physical with, and not in a good way. Matalin is up there on my list, not that a quick slap across the mug of Lady Cheney wouldn't thrill me too. Via MM.

How adorable that Republicans are finally scrambling around trying to accept the inevitable: Marriage equality is in America's future, and *gasp!* it's even going on all around us as we speak!

George Will on "This Week":

“There is something like an emerging consensus. Quite literally, the opposition to gay marriage is dying.  It’s old people.”

ABC:

A recent ABC News-Washington Post poll found 51 percent of Americans support gay marriage, while a recent Pew poll shows national support at 48 percentup from 35 percent in 2001.

And Think Progress notes that another poll from USA Today and Gallup showed 53 percent in support of marriage rights for gay and lesbian couples.

But per Think Progress, Republican strategist Mary Matalin said single moms and all those bastard children are what's really important, not marriage equality:

Well, because Americans have common sense. There are important constitutional, biological, theological, ontological questions relative to homosexual marriage. But people who live in the real world say the greater threat to the civil order is heterosexuals who don’t get married and are making babies. That is an epidemic in crisis proportions. That is irrefutably more problematic for our culture than homosexuals getting married."

How she manages to navigate thru the world without ripping someone's head off (or vice versa) is beyond me. Just toxic. Wonder if her and Bay Buchanan trade notes on how vile they can go.

As Heather points out, this is the new normal for wingnuts, at least until the next D trips up on their taxes.

Video- Mary Matalin Pretends GOP Not Waging a War on Women's Reproductive Health

FacebookTwitterRedditDiggStumbleUponTumblrLinkedInPinterestEmailShare

Gaw, kudos to Heather for catching Cruella's gymnastics trying to deny.

If Mary Matalin wants to convince anyone that it's not Republicans that have been on a jihad against women's reproductive health over the last few decades, and really aggressively over the last few years, she's going to have to do a better job than she did here.

VIDEO: Matalin says "Tea Bag people", Carville cracks up, Mary stomps off

FacebookTwitterRedditDiggStumbleUponTumblrLinkedInPinterestEmailShare

"Tea Bag people"? Really? Well, well, Matalin used the TB word.

Warning, Mary! Tea Bagger retaliation afoot!

And her tantrum-slash-stomping off when Mr. Mary couldn't contain his laughter was priceless. We can only imagine what goes on at home.
