The "late" John McCain

better late than never

The blog headline has nothing to do with John McCain's physical health and well being, but everything to do with his timing. Hey John Sidney McC, the news that Hillary Clinton was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot following her concussion was reported on December 30th.

In other news, McCain finally conceded to President Obama.

And how much do we love Parisella's reply? This much:

this much this big

CNN: Hillary Clinton's blood clot "in space between brain and skull"

tweet hillary clot

Holy crap.

Wishing her the speediest recovery ever. This is not what all those physicians and medical experts on TV thought at all.

Hillary Clinton suffered blood clot between brain and skull, behind right ear, did not suffer stroke or neurological damage - doctors

Still think she's faking it to get out of testifying, GOP?

UPDATE: She's making excellent progress and they're confident she'll make a full recovery, per MSNBC.

Hillary, Hillary, what are we going to do with you? There she goes again, faking a serious health issue to get out of testifying about Benghazi. Added: I was just tweeted this little disgusting bit of news:

They just can't resist, can they?

She got dizzy and went back to her doctor for a check-up after a fall, and was diagnosed with a concussion. I'd get dizzy too after being the target of the GOP year after year.

Via WaPo, the AP:

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has been admitted to a New York hospital after the discovery of a blood clot stemming from the concussion she sustained earlier this month.

She's being treated with anti-coagulants. Per CNN, she'll be in the hospital for the next 48 hours.

Here's to a safe and speedy recovery, and an apology or twelve from a few Republicans.

No, you're right, that will never happen.

GOP Rep. Joe "You Lie!" Wilson hospitalized with chronic infection

I know it's not polite to make a joke when someone is ill, but when I saw the words "Joe Wilson" juxtaposed with "chronic infection", all I could think of was Tea Party-itis.

As politicians are so fond of saying, I wish him well:

(CNN) -- U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina has been hospitalized with what appears to be a "chronic viral-type infection," according to a statement from his office Thursday.

His chief of staff said "there is no evidence of serious complication and complete recovery is expected." They're not too clear on what kind of virus it is. And here is where I resume being polite.

U.S. Special Envoy Holbrooke in Intensive Care After Falling Ill at Office

How did I miss this?

Richard Holbrooke, the U.S. special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, is in the intensive care unit at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, according to a hospital official who asked not to be identified.

Holbrooke, 69, has spent the last two years traveling to Afghanistan and Pakistan, and seeking support from allies to help promote economic development and stabilize the neighboring countries that have been plagued by terrorism.

Holbrooke felt ill while working today on the seventh floor of the State Department headquarters, where Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s office is located, said Philip J. Crowley, the department spokesman.

Apparently he has a blood clot.

We wish him a speedy recovery.

Michele Bachmann Back Home After Being Hospitalized for Undisclosed Illness

Let's see, Dick "What Heart?" Cheney is about to be released from the hospital, and Michele "Undisclosed Illness" Bachmann has just been released. Are Undisclosed Location and Undisclosed Illness in cahoots? A sympathy play? Distant relatives? Diabolical Rushpublic plot?

Conspiracy theories abound:

Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., was resting at her Minnesota home Sunday after being treated for an undisclosed illness in Washington, D.C.

All kidding aside, why all the secrecy?  What kind of "sudden illness" would be too embarrassing to reveal? Or too personal? Any ideas? A miscarriage, perhaps? What do you think?

Dick Cheney still in hospital after heart surgery

Gee, I hope Dicky Dearest is enjoying the benefits of his health coverage while millions of Americans are ill and dying from a lack thereof:

Former State Department official Liz Cheney made some news Sunday when she told "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace that her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney," remains hospitalized after undergoing heart surgery in early July.

The Dickette also told Wallace that Daddy Dicky Dearest gets out later this week and plans on doing some fishing and hunting. I hope the next guy he shoots in the face has decent insurance, too.

[Insert obligatory "we wish him well" here]
