Bunch of egotists playing for face time. Via.
Jesus, this is so kindergarden. Passing bills for injustices that just don’t f’ng exist. In a DHS bill no less?
WASHINGTON — The House has passed a bill that would bar Immigration and Customs Enforcement form spending agency money on providing abortion services for illegal immigrant detainees.
The measure isn’t likely to survive the Democratic-controlled Senate, but it sends a political message in an election year.
The provision – part of a $46 billion Homeland Security spending bill – blocks ICE from using agency funding to provide abortion services for detainees except in the case of rape, incest or if there life of the mother would be endangered. An agency spokeswoman says ICE hasn’t provided such services in its nearly 10-year history.
The agency’s current policy on abortion services already restricts access to those services except in the case of rape, incest or if the life or the mother is in danger
