Years ago (in 1998) I worked on a documentary about the making of ‘Godzilla’ for a German TV station. The set itself was impressive and I got to meet Jean Reno (a very cool guy) and, of course, the director, Roland Emmerich and other crew members.
I’d been on big film sets before, though. What was special about this one was the extraordinary care put into the computer graphics.
This short ‘diving giraffes’ animation 15 years later makes ‘Godzilla’ look like the work of an advanced kindergartener.
Amazing!
