Does anyone ever ask these asshats what the President has done that burns them up so bad? Via TPM.
Oops, George Pataki accidentally revealed his work-in-progress campaign site… before he announced his candidacy. Via Taegan:
A Pataki spokesman tells Capital Tonight: “Can’t run a campaign without a website — the hosting company apparently made a mistake and has prematurely made it searchable. The site is still in development and will only be launched if the Governor decides to get in the race.”
“If”? IMHO, if Karl Rove has anything to say about it, he’s in. He’d like nothing more than to get behind someone who he thinks can beat Rick “French Cuffs” Perry.
Here’s a preview of what you’re likely to see very soon, via PolitickerNY.com:
Oh joy, just what the Republicans need, another cranky old white guy. He’s like an ethnic John McCain.
Sources tell NY1 former Governor George Pataki is strongly considering entering the crowded race for the Republican presidential nomination.
Sources say Pataki, who left office in 2007, could make an announcement as early as next week.
If he were to run, Pataki would face several major obstacles including launching an operation with little campaign cash and facing several opponents who have been meeting voters in Iowa and New Hampshire for months.
Pataki has been a vocal critic of President Barack Obama’s health care plan.
Every time I see this guy he just comes across as a bitter old lemon sucker. Could give John McCain a run in the “Get off my lawn” sweepstakes.
MANCHESTER, NH – You can add another prominent Republican who’s thinking about a White House bid.
“I am definitely considering a run for president,” former New York Gov. George Pataki told reporters here.
Fresh off a trip to Iowa, Pataki was in the Granite State leading a discussion on the debt crisis at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm’s College. (Organizers claimed it was scheduled long before the current debt impasse began producing headlines.)
