Fox News' The Fox Five Have An Emily Litella Moment

Fox

NOTE: UPDATED VERSION 9:10 am Pacific. Last night, on Fox New's The Five, Eric Bolling claimed the Benghazi terrorist attack happened before Obama got Osama Bin Laden. That didn't sit right with Dana Perino, one of the other panelists and she corrected the mis-informed Mr. Bolling. But that didn't stop there. Bolling was amazed. That was news to him. According to The Raw Story:

“What, it was after?” “Yes, much after,” Dana Perino can be heard saying. “My bad,” Bolling said, “I take it back.” “But a great point, if it were true,” Perino added.

This lead Stephen Colbert to weigh in on his show regarding this gaff.

“Yes,” Colbert replied, “that’s undeniable. A great point, and a fantastic new motto: ‘Fox News: Fair and Balanced. A Great Point If It Were True.

Now, truth isn't always on the side of good reporting or story telling. And so I'll add the conversation that transpired during the commercial break which immediately followed. Eric Bolling:

Right after break, I'm going to bring up the Hillary Clinton thing where she refused to put Boko Haram on the U. S. Terrorist list back in 2012.

Dana Perino:

You have some news on that?

Eric Bolling:

News? I'll say. This isn't the first time Hillary pulled strings to keep them off a list. Back in 2012 the Rock and Roll people were actually considering inducting Boko Haram into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Imagine, one big hit and she tried to get them into those hallowed halls.

Dana Perino:

What are you talking about?

Eric Bolling:

Boko Haram... Whiter Shade of Pale... Don't you know anything? Before they were a terrorist group, they were rock and rollers. Symphonic Rock.

Dana Perino:

Eric, you're mixing up Procol Harum with Boko Haram. But another good point if it were true.

Eric Bolling:

Great. Then I'll lead off with it out of commercial.

Fox News: Let's School The Lefties On Food Stamps

FacebookTwitterRedditDiggStumbleUponTumblrLinkedInPinterestEmailShare

Fox

Boy, when you want to tell a whopper of a tale, there's nobody better than the news writers over at Fox News. They can spin a simple getting a sliver in your finger into a conspiracy from the wood products industry along with the physicians and surgeons guild (if there really was one) to rampantly perform amputations to boost up the artificial limbs industry.

Face it, they never met a factual molehill they couldn't turn into a mountain. And there's no one better at pointing out these absurdities than Jon Stewart.

We all know that the recent, racial animus that our Republican House and Senate members have been espousing lately is well documented by their promotion department, aka Fox News. It's down with food stamps because it enables lazy Blacks (actually a majority or recipients are white) to sit home and eat well. Paul Ryan, of brown paper bag fame wants to eliminate school lunches altogether because we shouldn't be encouraging lazy urban (read minority) single parents not to look for jobs. And hey, what's with that awful extension of the long term unemployment bill the Senate voted on the other day? That's again so totally wrong. If the unmotivated, unemployed (in GOP talk, that's code for minorities) don't want to work, why should we reward them?

In response to The Daily Show's mocking of Fox New's biased and bigoted reporting, the Rupert Murdoch stooges chose to take on Jon Stewart and Comedy Central. They elected to "school" the comedian/satirist. Bad move, Fox. You had to know your outrageous 'response-to-the-response' was coming. And boy, did it ever. Stewart eviscerates Fox like he's dueling with an unarmed man. Watch:
