Stone Soup

I’ve got a pot of stew that I’m trying to extend with some add ins for another day in the fridge. When I joked to Jeff that it was a “Stone Soup”, he had no clue what I was talking about. Wow.

Stone Soup was one of my favorite folk stories, I believe told to me by my Irish grandmother, which is unusual since it seems to be more of a Central European fable.

After I explained the story to Jeff, he was impressed and seemed to see it as a successful con job. I told him that I always thought it was more of a “If everyone contributes, everyone gains” story. Seems relevant these days.

Go check it out and tell me what you think.
