Yahoo Sports is reporting that while Condoleeza Rice was golfing it up at Pebble Beach the other day, she swang when she should have swung and ended up hitting a ball that ended up whacking a fan right on her poor, unsuspecting, spectatory noggin:

The ball smacked the female fan in the forehead, causing what was later called concussion-like symptoms and while the lady that got hit wouldn't give her name, Rice got an assistant to get her number so she could later contact her to make sure she was alright.

According to one report, Rice approached the woman and asked, "Did I hit you? It was a bad shot. I’m really sorry."

oops smaller

The woman is expected to be fine. Other than that concussion-like thing. Other than an unexpected headache.

ouch bandaid smaller

As for Condi, she is likely suffering from humiliation-like symptoms.

GOP Senators embraced Condi Rice as Sec. of State after she ignored 9/11 warnings, but pummel Susan Rice

FacebookTwitterRedditDiggStumbleUponTumblrLinkedInPinterestEmailShare

Via

Your Daily Dose of BuzzFlash, via my pal Mark Karlin:

Condi Rice, as National Security Advisor, was generally the funnel through which such intelligence alarms went through before getting to Bush.  She also had separate meetings with George Tenet, head of the CIA, who reportedly told her of the agency's concern about Al Qaeda launching attacks in the US, including hijackings.  In fact, at one point during a public inquiry about the 9/11 attacks, Rice was forced to read the headline of the infamous August 6th CIA memo:  “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.”

Yet, despite all the signs pointing to willful negligence – which included not even taking the minimal step of heightening security against hijackings at airports – Condi Rice was confirmed as Secretary of State by an 85-13 vote of the United States Senate on January 26, 2005, with the full support of the Republican caucus.  Dissenting votes included Democrats such as Barbara Boxer and the late Robert Byrd who felt that Rice was not being held accountable for her role in ignoring the 9/11 warnings and her support of the Iraq War.

So when Reuters headlines its article about Susan Rice's meeting with GOP senators this morning, "Rice meeting with senators fails to dampen criticism," you know that the Republican double standard of hypocrisy is in full swing.  Whatever the explanations that occurred after the killings in Benghazi were, Susan Rice is UN Ambassador, not the National Security Advisor.  The Republican pummeling of Rice -- given its historical support of the Bush administration/Condi Rice failure to even try and prevent 9/11 coupled with its bloody war policies – is more than just partisan politics.

After all, we are talking about national security here – and the only security that the McCain/Graham Republican Party appears to be protecting is their own jobs.  More than 3000 people from all nations died in the Twin Towers on 9/11 and in the other hijacked planes.  Thousands upon thousands more perished in two wars launched by the Bush administration. [...]

It's all part of the same shameful bullying that we have seen for years, one that puts the national security interests of the United States in partisan peril.

VIDEO: Soledad O'Brien grills GOP Rep. Joe Heck on his bizarre quasi-defense of Susan Rice

FacebookTwitterRedditDiggStumbleUponTumblrLinkedInPinterestEmailShare

Soledad O'Brien does it again. The hypocrisy of Republicans looking for any reason to scream "Impeach!!" is stunning. Of did Joe just get his Rices confused?

What the Heck?

GOP Rep. Joe Heck of Nevada:

You don't put somebody out who doesn't know about the issue and just have them go out to feed us the information that the administration wants put out. So we have to get to the bottom of what happened in Benghazi, and certainly the Senate will hold confirmation hearings, if she's nominated..."

O'Brien:

"Isn't that exactly analogous to what happened to Condoleezza Rice, who John McCain supported, and who Lindsey Graham supported?"

Heck:

"Condi Rice was in a position to be able to be the face, and the information was wrong. But here we had wrong information, and weeks later we had the administration coming back saying, well this person had nothing to do with the situation..."

O'Brien:

"Let's walk through that more slowly — let me walk through that more slowly so you don't lose me. So you're saying the issue in both cases, weapons of mass destruction and information intelligence coming to the U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, both cases the information was wrong. What you take exception with is what the White House did later. Is that what you're saying?"

Heck:

"Exactly."

O'Brien:

"You've lost me completely."

"Charles Blow, help me. Forgive me. I'm not being facetious at all.... He's saying nobody said that Condoleezza Rice didn't have anything to do with the situation."

Charles Blow:

"What I was trying to figure out is, are you saying that Condoleezza Rice actually should have known, because she had more intimacy with the information and then still said something that she knew was wrong-- In fact, Susan Rice is a sacrificial lamb because she was put out as the face of the administration but she didn't know anything? In fact, it's more of a defense of Susan Rice than it is a condemnation of Susan Rice."

O'Brien:

"Forgive me sir, will you walk us through this one more time. You think it’s different because Condoleezza Rice actually had first-hand knowledge?"

Heck:

"Blahblahblahblah... public face... Rice Rice Rice... failures... blahblahblah."

O'Brien:

"I feel like you're saying, from your own comments, that Susan Rice had nothing to do with either of those things. She didn't have something to do with the intelligence failures, which I believe you just said. And it looks as if she also had no knowledge at the time, so she's cleared on that front... Why would you possibly blame her then?"

Heck:

"I'm not blaming Ambassador Rice."

VIDEO: Oops! Condoleezza Rice on Benghazi: "Not always easy to know what is really going on on the ground... let relevant bodies do their work."

FacebookTwitterRedditDiggStumbleUponTumblrLinkedInPinterestEmailShare

Via Think Progress.

Former GW Bush Secretary of State Condi ruined all the Republicans' (and Fox's Greta  Van Susteren's) fun, stomping all over their conspiratorial talking points and using-- What's it called again? Oh yeah-- reason and calm:

"But when things are unfolding very, very quickly, it’s not always easy to know what is really going on on the ground. And to my mind, the really important questions here are about how information was collected. Did the various agencies really coordinate and share intelligence in the way that we had hoped, with the reforms that were made after 9/11?"

"So there’s a big picture to be examined here. But we don’t have all of the pieces, and I think it’s easy to try and jump to conclusions about what might have happened here. It’s probably better to let the relevant bodies do their work."

Condi Rice won't be Mitt Romney's running mate. Now back to Bain questions already in progress...

FacebookTwitterRedditDiggStumbleUponTumblrLinkedInPinterestEmailShare

Via Livewire, on Fox News, Carl Cameron asked, Willard Romney answered:

...when he asked if he stands by his pledge in February of earlier this year to pick a pro-life running mate. He said he does stand by his remarks in the past. Since Rice has called herself mildly pro-choice back in 2006, that pretty much takes her out of contention.

Can we now stop taking Drudge's fake news seriously, stop feeding into GOP diversions, stop giving them any credibility whatsoever, and get back to why Romney had years to clean up all things Bain Capital and didn't?

NMA VIDEO: Libyan looters expose Gaddafi’s Condi Rice obsession

FacebookTwitterRedditDiggStumbleUponTumblrLinkedInPinterestEmailShare

Next Media Animation does it again:

Libyan rebels have been making off with items found in Muammar Gaddafi’s compound in Tripoli.

The most puzzling find is an album packed with photos of former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Rice visited Libya in 2008. Gaddafi professed his love for her in an interview a year prior. He said he admired how she ordered around other Arab leaders.

Will Gaddafi ever be reunited with his darling “Leezza?”
