Today President Obama kicked off a two-day “Betting On America” bus tour through northern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Today the bus tour is stopping in Maumee, Sandusky and Parma, Ohio, and tomorrow he’ll be in Poland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Okay, can we tawk? Between the adorable exchange above and the heartfelt image of President Obama consoling a very grateful supporter, can anyone seriously compare the connection this president has to voters to the MittBot’s forced smiles, fake laughs, and gaping void where real emotion should be?

PhotOH! Appalling Facebook page features vile images including one mocking special needs child, Pres. Obama

I have no words. None. I’m sickened. What is happening to this country? Between this and the truly vile tweets I’ve gotten lately, I’m stunned at the slime that is oozing from the darkest places social media sites have to offer.

VIDEO: Four year-old gets standing O for singing “Ain’t No Homos Gonna Make It To Heaven” in church

Awww, just listen to all those Very Christian supporters of bigotry cheer their little cherub as he warbles his misguided little heart out. Look, Mom, no gays!

Family values, my ass, teaching an innocent child to condemn “homos” to hell. Who could ask for a more loving, do unto others crowd?

VIDEO: “Miss Bachmann, my mommy’s gay but she doesn’t need fixing.” Miss Bachmann’s response: Buh-bye.

Apparently if you’re a sweet child who has two mommies, Michele Bachmann feels it necessary to make you feel like a piece of crap:

:

Video of Michele Bachmann trying to get her photo op in with my 8 year old son. It’s hard to hear but he leans in and tells her that his mom is gay and she doesn’t need fixing. GO ELIJAH! Love that look of shock she gets.

We were there for an Occupy Myrtle Beach event to mic check Michele Bachmann on another issue. The lgbt issue came up separately. #Occupymb

This is how the mother of five and foster parent of 23 treats an adorable, honest eight-year-old. Family values, my ass.

One can only imagine how she treats Marcus.

Update by Paddy-I too had a problem with this vid at first, but have no problem with Gotta posting it, the message is strong. And now, look at this-

Back to the story– I was standing in line with Elijah and his mom. His mom was going to say something to her, but she got nervous and told me she wanted to leave. We were about to step out of the line but Elijah cried out, “Nooo!” He grabbed onto her coat and pulled her back in the line, saying he wanted to talk to her.

When we got up to Michele, he got a little stage fright. His mom just didn’t want him to not say it because he was afraid, because she knew he would regret it if he didn’t. I used to do ballet as a child, and before performances, I’d want to no do it– my mom pushed me to perform. Afterwards, I’d run to her and tell her how happy I was. How is this any different? If we were shown a video of a child before a school play, or a recital, being pushed to perform and not give into stage fright, would we get the same reaction? My gut says no.

Not quite the way it looks. Good on Elijah.
