Hey, Reagan: SWAT is Stun-Grenading Babies Cribs fer' Your War On Drugs in GA

Ronald Reagan, from whatever sorry level of hell drew the short straw, I hope you are looking up.

There's a 19 month-old innocent baby boy, paralyzed, in a coma, in a burn unit, in Georgia … and you started the absurd immoral War On Drugs that put him there.

The GOP crusade on drugs, sanity and done-borned babies is alive and well in Atlanta. Cue Deliverance, this is a sick-arse tale.

According to Atlanta's WSB-TV, with the force of only a 'no-knock warrant', local SWAT seeking an arrest lobbed a stun grenade into the home and onto the infant's pillow -- where ARE they training these Southern arms of the law?

It's a deeply disturbing tale of 'Cops' quality tactics in the real world South. Baby Bounkham's mother, Alecia Phonesavanh, shared her disbelief and pain.

“It landed in his playpen and exploded on his pillow, right in his face. He’s only a baby. He didn’t deserve any of this.”

"He's in the burn unit. We go up to see him and his whole face is ripped open. He has a big cut on his chest," Phonesavanh said. "He's only 19 months old. He didn't do anything."

Nixon may have foreshadowed your policies, but you, Reagan, escalated the war that has imprisoned, killed or ruined good human beings with your fanatical zealotry.

If they are running a tally of the dead, your War On Drugs monument should be HUGE.

  • I concur, and they both get blame aplenty … but Saint Reagan owned it so completely when I lived in D.C. I thought it was only fair to give him top credit. 😉

    Good points Boris.

As usual with US wars, J_St_J, things began slowly. Nixon had a whole lot of CIA with drugs experience and not much to do after Vietnam, so he taught them Spanish and Portugese and sent them South, to get some battlefields warmed up.

But it was Ole Jellybeans who really escalated the Blitz on Bliss.

What sad irony, that Reagan's diseased brain was already concocting for him a pretty weird alternative reality, as he signed away the right of American families to feel safe from state-sanctioned violence.

Just one problem with the narrative, the war on drugs was started by Nixon.
