do your job

As Ed Schultz always opines, it's time to get to work. The government shutdown is over, for now. The debt-ceiling is raised for now. So what's next? President Obama makes that pretty clear:

It's most certain, in Obama's words and most Americans thoughts, that this wake-up call that the Republicans and the Tea-party foisted on us at the estimated cost of $24 Billion be put aside and our elected officials who have let us down, come to their senses. They need to focus on what the majority of Americans sent them there to do.

Grow this economy
Create great good jobs
Strengthen the middle class
Educate our kids
Lay the foundation for broad-based prosperity
Stengthen Social Security & Medicare
Tax reform
Clean air
Negotiated peace worldwide
Get the U.S. fiscal house in order for the long haul.

It's really time to stop wasting America's precious resources and efforts. We now have a greater debt to the tune of $24 billion because of political game playing. Someone(s) have to pay for the damage they caused. Boehner? The Tea Party? Ted Cruz?

If this isn't addressed and soon, the entire congress must go. According to an NBC poll, this is a popular idea with 60% of the public. It'll be a shame to lose the few good representatives, but they'll get their chance to come back after sitting out the next dance. Then maybe they'll get an opportunity to listen to what America is really saying. It's saying help us by doing your jobs.

And on that subject, you could help us do ours, here at The Political Carnival. As you know, it's our Fall fundraiser. If you have the chance and haven't done so already, we could sure use your help in reaching our goal. We know it's tough sledding out there. It is here as well. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.

Color me clueless if you will but this looks like a really good list to me. I mean, as a citizen, that is.
