So many GOP false claims, so little time.
For a party that hates President Obama so much, and has voted forty times to repeal/defund his Affordable Health Care Act, the GOP sure has an odd way of sticking to their (young) guns. Did I mention that they're a party of hypocrites?
According to Think Progress, Gov. Rick Perry, Texas Republican and vocal Obamacare critic, is negotiating with the Obama White House as we speak so that the Lone Star State can receive $100 million in federal money in order to-- wait for it-- rev up an ACA Medicaid program. What?
ThinkProgress spoke with three congressmen this month about whether they would be following Huelskamp and Chaffetz’s lead [refusing ACA assistance to constituents]. Though all three made clear they opposed Obamacare, they unanimously confirmed their offices would “help every constituent that calls our office,” as Rep. Jeff Denham (R-CA) declared. Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) agreed, explaining, “I’m not going to send our constituents out the door just because I may not like it.” Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) said helping guide constituents who call with questions about federal programs is “one of the primary functions of our office.” [...]
Even Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), who has campaigned for years to dismantle Obamacare, told ThinkProgress that his office will help constituents enroll in Obamacare.

Despite Republican defiance, obstruction, and irrational opposition, at least some of them seem to realize that life outside the womb matters, too.
