What I will not write about today

frustrated33 grrr

Sometimes I get so frustrated and/or disheartened and/or annoyed by some of the news stories of the day that I can’t bring myself to write about them. Here are a few recent reports that made my blood pressure hit the roof. I am avoiding delving into them at length out of concern for my physical and mental health.

See what I mean? So who’s up for a couple of Margs or a trough of wine?

Time to pull on our big boy/big girl pants, roll up our sleeves and get to work! First up: Virginia 2013. Two months to crank up the Obama machinery in the Old Dominion. Get 'em registerd and get out the vote. The unholy trinity of Cuccinelli (and the other two) cannot be allowed to win. THEN: we've got one year to defeat all of the voter-suppression measures erected by the GOP. Let the Justice Dept and the courts continue to defuse as many of these bombs as possible. And let OFA take the lead in organizing a massive GOT ID? campaign. College kids, the poor, the elderly, communities of color -- let's get them ALL the proper identification, and registered to vote, and encourage absentee ballots to reduce lines on Election Day. The GOP has admitted it cannot compete for votes on the strength of its bankrupt ideas. Let's flex our muscles and show them that they cannot win by cheating, either. Because, you know, fuck 'em!
