Lowkell over at Blue Virginia has a thing or two to say about a thing or two about a Republican woman or two saying a thing or two about Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli.
Former Republican and Independent Delegate Katherine Waddell and former President of the Virginia Federation of Republican Women Jan Schar are the two women. And the thing or two that they said were in response to a Politico article about Ken Cuccinelli's conspiracy theories that Planned Parenthood is a racist organization engaging in "eugenics." Cuccinelli specifically "made reference to Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger..."
And here's Cuccinelli's running mate, E.W. Jackson:
"Planned Parenthood has been far more lethal to black lives than the KKK."
On the conference call, former Delegate Waddell (R/I) decried Cuccinelli's "dangerous...anti-woman health agenda." According to Waddell, we haven't even "scratched the surface of how extreme Ken Cuccinelli is." She says it make "absolutely no sense to accuse Planned Parenthood of being a racist organization; it's an organization which brings much needed health care to many." "But then again," Waddell added, "nothing about the Republican Party these days makes any sense." Waddell said she's "completely embarrassed and mortified by the Republican ticket of Cuccinelli and Jackson," asking, "What are they thinking?" In Waddell's view, "This is the worst ticket ever."
Remember, these are Republican women who are slamming these two loons, Republican women who understand the need for making health services available, not pulling funds and smearing organizations that provide it.
Need a reminder or two about who Cuccinelli is?
Virginia, now is the time to turn your back on extremists like these. Now is the time to send a message at the ballot box.
Because, well, see how the GOP has reinvented itself? See how outreachy they are now?
