Ashley Judd has been driving Republicans crazy. Well, crazier than usual. Reports of her planning to declare candidacy for Mitch McConnell's Senate seat have stirred things up in Kentucky, even though Judd has denied them... sort of.
But recently, in a speech at the American Counseling Association's 2013 conference in Cincinnati, she dropped a couple of hints about running while discussing her experience with depression. That's perked up a few ears:
(AP) - [S]he said when she started in counseling she didn't like to be criticized. She added that was ironic since she was, in her words, "about to get $40 million worth of it."
Sounds like someone who's running to me, how about you?
As for her distaste for criticism, join the club, because unfortunately, once you're in the political public eye, it comes with the territory. In her case, she's a prime target, and has already received a few zings (albeit idiotic ones).
Ashley also mentioned Naomi Judd, her mom, who apparently said that she couldn't wait to convert her garage "into a campaign headquarters."
Convert away, Naomi, and then wait for more GOP heads to explode *coughKarlRovecough*.
