Poll-itics: President Obama's approvals at 3-year high, Republicans at bottom

drive the gop crazy

I feel some Republican head explosions coming on...

Bloomberg has a new poll out, and it's not looking good for the GOP. Gee, can't for the life of me imagine why, what with their agreeable attitude, willingness to compromise, inclusive policies, reachy-outitude, resistance to taking this country back to the Stone Age, support for the less fortunate and sick among us, affection for unions and the middle class, disdain for corporate power, aversion to privatization, reverence for public education, appreciation for fairness and equality, respect for women, regard for the president of their country, insistence on civil rights, rejection of voter suppression, etc. etc. ad nauseam.

Fifty-five percent of Americans approve of Obama’s performance in office, his strongest level of support since September 2009, according to a Bloomberg National poll conducted Feb. 15-18. Only 35 percent of the country has a favorable view of the Republican Party, the lowest rating in a survey that began in September 2009. The party’s brand slipped six percentage points in the last six months, the poll shows.

Americans by 49 percent to 44 percent believe Obama’s proposals for government spending on infrastructure, education and alternative energy are more likely to create jobs than Republican calls to cut spending and taxes to build business confidence and spur employment.

Wait, the GOP is at 35%? That high? Not according to other polls, but hey, the Greedy Old Party is still at an all-time low.
