bupkes zero zilch

Today's Quickie:

All the Republican "big names" have said no to a run for John Kerry's Senate seat in the Massachusetts June 25th special election. Not one wants to take a shot. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Bupkes.

Do we all agree that that's pretty amazing?

Via The Week:

It's embarrassing.

And it’s another sign of the disarray the party finds itself in after a string of tough election losses in 2012.

Yes, embarrassing, too. Embarrassing works.

That was today's Quickie. Was it good for you?

Maybe two democrats should run against each other then and we'll make sure we get a democrat in office.  DG

Never fear, Mass repubs:  Dr. Keith Ablow, Fox News' resident shrink, has said he'll throw his stethoscope hat into the ring:

"We face an unprecedented assault on the Constitution and our
individual liberties. If the Republican Party in Massachusetts and the
Republican National Committee ask me to run at this time, and offer
their support in that effort, I will run. If they support another
candidate, I will work hard to elect that candidate. If that candidate
should lose, I will, in all likelihood, again offer to be a candidate
for Senate from Massachusetts in 2014, under the same conditions."

Can't wait to hear Dr. Ablowme's "analysis" of his opponents during the debates!
