Think about what we did the other day. We voted. And because we voted, we made history. Democratic women swept every major office in New Hampshire. More women got elected to the U.S. Senate than at any time in U.S. history.
That graphic is a reminder that the United States is not a "center-right" country, it is not a country that believes in "legitimate rape" or magic vaginas that can shut down rape pregnancies or that "God intended" them in the first place. It is not a country that supports the GOP War on Women or limiting women's reproductive rights. It is not a country that thinks we should do away with Planned Parenthood or that women should be paid less than men for doing the same work.
We are, however, a country that believes in equality, not just for women, but for everyone. We saw a need for change, and we acted on it. And the direction that the nation is headed, the action we took on November 6th, indicate that the dwindling number of Americans who feel otherwise will continue to be a shrinking minority until they become extinct.
