Romney debate strategy: pretend to agree with the President to cover up your reckless and wrong positions
"Romney endorses Obama" is the title of an L.A. Times editorial, and it couldn't be more fitting, although they did leave out the word "hypocritically". So to compensate for that little omission, I added a new video from Team Obama.
Here's the Times opening paragraph. Please go here for the rest:
Monday's presidential debate, the third and last between President Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney, featured a forceful and articulate defense of Obama's foreign policy. That was no surprise. What was surprising was that it came from Romney.
Of course, political commentators have given the first debate so much attention that the other two have been assigned Debate Stepchild status by comparison. The meme should be that Willard M. Romney is a lying, inept, unqualified candidate who has unfathomably boosted his poll numbers with the assistance of willing pundits and "journalists", many of whom should be reporting, not shaping, the headlines.
And that's what happens when the news is commercialized. We get infotainment instead of information and style instead of substance, because sadly, ratings and profits are the priority.
