Here's the president smacking down Willard Romney at a campaign rally in Virginia, via our pal Andrew Kaczynski at BuzzFeed.

Romney thought he was on to something when President Obama said “The most important lesson I've learned is you can't change Washington from the inside. You can only change it from the outside.” Wrong again, Mr. Fix-It.

"Now for some reason my opponent got really excited. He rewrote his speech really quick. He stood up at a rally, proudly declared 'I'll get the job done from the inside.' What kind of inside job is he talking about?"

Snap.

I have to say Obama makes me laugh --  in the right places.   Romney makes me laugh, but for the wrong reasons.  DG

“Now for some reason my opponent got really excited. He rewrote his speech really quick."

Well, Mr. President, there was a reason for that:  he had to change it from his 2007 comments -- which sounded remarkably similar to yours . . .

“I believe that at this time, to change Washington, it would be helpful
to have somebody who comes with more private sector skill, experience
outside Washington. I don't think you change Washington from the inside.
I think you change it from the outside," Romney said in late 2007, according to NBC News.
