Only decades ago women suffered through horrifying back alley abortions, or they used dangerous methods when they had no other recourse.

So when the Republican Party officially promotes forcing rape victims to bear the children of their attackers as part of its assault against a woman’s right to choose–we had to ask:
Why is Romney & Ryan’s GOP trying to send women back. . . to the back alley?

I had to have an emergency c-section, and lost a lot of blood to have my twins. My blood was pink when they pricked my finger the next day to check my blood count. They wanted me to have a transfusion, which in 1986 with the AIDS scare, wasn’t something i wanted. Luckily I healed without it, but they cautioned me not to handle knives because if I cut myself I may not have enough red blood cells to handle it. I had a very difficult healing period, on top of dealing with two newborns.

Imagine if I had to go through all of that because i was raped.
