Now that CEO, Bob Diamond, has resigned. Who, oh who, will host the fundraiser? Mr del Missier, who had only recently been moved to a new job in Barclays' regulatory and compliance department, quit following the earlier resignation of his Chief Executive Bob Diamond. [...]

Mr Diamond confirmed he would still appear before the Treasury select committee on Wednesday to answer questions over the rate-fixing allegations which ultimately led to the government yesterday launching a parliamentary probe into banking culture.
