R.I.P. Don:

Don Grady, best remembered as Robbie Douglas from My Three Sons and as one of The Mickey Mouse Club‘s original Mouseketeers, died today after battling cancer, according to his family. He was 68.

I knew Don, the nicest, sweetest, funniest guy ever. His daughter was in my shows and my classes. I adore the entire family. I can’t begin to express my grief.

He was not only a talented actor and singer, but an amazing composer.

I’ve known about his cancer for years and hoped he could beat it. Damn.

Damn.

Funny. Those were the precise words to run through my mind when I heard Mr. Grady died.

“You can’t have your duds and fluffies too, Robby Douglas.” – Tina and Robby having their first spat over a bowl of popcorn.

Funny the things that stick with you after all these years. R.I.P. Don. We never missed a show.

So sad. So sorry to hear this. For us who didn’t kow him, but grew up watching “My Three Sons” – we are saddened and feel a sense of loss having to do with childhood memories. For you it is personal and so our hearts go out to you at this time. We send our love. <3
