VIDEO: Mitt Romney wants constitutional amendment qualifying him, GW Bush, Hoover, Herman Cain for president, but not Reagan

How can anyone take this lying fool seriously? Why would anyone even consider allowing him into the White House? Forget about voting against President Obama for a moment, just for tiny moment.

How could someone vote for such an embarrassing candidate?

“I was speaking with one of these business owners who owns a couple of restaurants in town. And he said ‘You know I’d like to change the Constitution, I’m not sure I can do it,’ he said. ‘I’d like to have a provision in the Constitution that in addition to the age of the president and the citizenship of the president and the birthplace of the president being set by the Constitution, I’d like it also to say that the president has to spend at least three years working in business before he could become president of the United States.‘”

Hey, genius, that eliminates St. Ronnie, Eisenhower, and any number of GOP favorites.

Good grief, Willard, even when you don’t open your mouth, it comes out wrong.

Some comments on other blogs that carried this were 1) How about 4 years of military service?; and 2) How about giving birth and raising a child?  It’s a complete fallacy that the CEO of a company would necessarily make a good president.  Corporate CEOs to a large extent run their companies as dictators.  The skill set is completely different than that required by the president, who must lead, bargain, compromise, politicize, etc.  Michael Bloomberg has done well as Mayor of NYC, but has declined to even think about running for the presidency.  That’s why Jack Welch, who ran one of the most complex corporations in the world, GE, declined to think about running.  Mitt Romney, Herman Cain and Donald Trump all ran relatively small businesses (Trump managed to bankrupt a few, nonetheless).  George W. Bush likewise ran a small business which he bankrupted.  They can mock community organizers all they want, but anybody who has ever tried to organize needy communities knows how difficult it can be.
