Hope for Dems: Rep. Thaddeus McCotter could get booted from Michigan ballot

Remember Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.), former GOP presidential candidate? Not too many do. And now the guy screwed up his own re-election chances.

Apparently, he didn't collect enough signatures to get on the Michigan primary ballot, meaning he failed to get the requisite 1,000, and could lose his once-secure seat:

Via Roll Call:

Democrats previously touted Dr. Syed Taj as their candidate to challenge McCotter, but the race was not considered competitive. That could quickly change if McCotter is off the ballot and Republicans cannot write-in a strong replacement.

Think positive.
