VIDEO ADDED: Mitt Romney's War on Cookies

Willard Romney sat at a picnic table with "real people" (unlike his Etch A Sketch self) who he simply could not relate to at all. In fact, it makes one wonder if he's even sat at a picnic table before. Awkward much?

Ed Schultz devoted a segment of his show to Mitt's inability to appear human and, you know, connect:

Visit for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Willard couldn't come up with a response to anything. "Mmhmm," "yeah," and "right" were his inept answers to the concerns and observations of the people in the video. Boyoboy, if that's not leadership, I don't know what is.

CNN reported on another Mitt Moment in which he thought he was relating to Pennsylvania voters, comparing a batch of cookies from a mom-and-pop store to 7-Eleven munchies:

"I'm not sure about these cookies. They don't look like you made them," Romney said to the woman sitting next to him "No, no. They came from the local 7-eleven, bakery, or whatever."

The comments quickly spread on Twitter, with some pointing to the remarks as an example of Romney being out of touch to the point of confusing 7-11 with a bakery.

Face palm.

As a result, a 57-year-old bakery decided to offer a 'CookieGate' special: Buy a dozen, get a half-dozen free.

Here's hoping they were the right height.

P.S. Re: The "War on Cookies" title... I kid the MittWit. I'm sure he supports cookies, as long as they're not baked by government chefs.
