Melissa Harris-Perry, thank you for going where most people are afraid to go. Communication is everything.

Sidebar: Based on what I've seen on Twitter, there are bound to be people who respond to this video with, "Don't tell me what to do!" She's not. She's suggesting. Nobody's making demands, and this is her show featuring her perspective and her commentary. It's always okay to disagree... civilly.

Actually, Char, the First Amendment only applies to government control.
I see nothing wrong with what Melissa presented. It's the viewer's choice whether or not to take her advice.

well, that's fine and dandy, but her "suggesting" is the same thing  - though nicely put -- as telling someone how to speak.  I am a great admirer of the first amendment, which, to me, means content and not presentation

The "Silence is golden" bit is beyond price. Sometimes the most important thing is to hang back and have respect for someone else's experience and perspective.

I am a great fan of MHP, but I found her comments this morning quite insulting.  Nobody
likes to be told what to say or how to say something.  I've gotten along 67 years in a black
and white world and never had a problem

    Love her. Good advice.
