George Will-- yes, that George Will-- responded to John Boehner's spokesperson's tepid response to Rush Limbaugh's non-apology, "The speaker obviously believes the use of those words was inappropriate, as is trying to raise money off the situation":
"Using a salad fork for your entree, that's inappropriate!"
And the piece de resistance:
"...The Republican leaders are afraid of Rush Limbaugh. They want to bomb Iran, but they’re afraid of Rush Limbaugh."
Yes, they are afraid, very afraid.
And speaking of weak, Limbaugh's "apology" was only about his choice of words, not the intentional misogynistic smears, the labeling of women (specifically Sandra Fluke) who use contraception as sluts, and on and on.
FYI: I'm in the middle of editing a Blunt video about this very thing. I'll post it tomorrow.
So can George Will-- who equates the "excesses" of the left with what Limbaugh did-- cite an example of a Progressive who smeared a law student or other non-public figure who had no access to a mic of her own with which to defend herself?
And in the very few cases in which a left-leaning pundit used inappropriate language, to my knowledge they apologized (and in the case of Ed Schultz, suspended himself) and no Dems that I know of defended them.
