I wish I could post the entire piece here because it’s just deelish, but the best I can do is give you a scrumptious couple of nibbles and then you’re on your own.
The US Republican race is dominated by ignorance, lies and scandals. The current crop of candidates have shown such a basic lack of knowledge that they make George W. Bush look like Einstein. The Grand Old Party is ruining the entire country’s reputation. [...]
As it turns out, there are no limits to how far they will stoop [...]
They lie. They cheat. They exaggerate. They bluster. They say one idiotic, ignorant, outrageous thing after another… Wall Street Journal columnist and former Reagan confidante Peggy Noonan even spoke of a “freakshow.” That may be the most appropriate description. [...]
Yet just like any freakshow, this one would be unthinkable without a stage (in this case, the media, strangling itself with all its misunderstood “political correctness” and “objectivity”) and an audience (the party base, which this year seems to have suffered a political lobotomy). [...]
What a nice club that is. A club of liars, cheaters, adulterers, exaggerators, hypocrites and ignoramuses.
Marc Pitzke then goes on to rip into Herman Cain who he calls a caricature, then on to Newt Gingrich, a “dishonored, discredited, pompous, blustering political dinosaur.” Of course Rick Perry, Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman, Mitt Romney, and Michele Bachmann are zapped like mosquitoes on a hot summer’s night flying into one of those patio contraptions.
And the media didn’t get off too easy, either.
Nor did Pitzke omit the tea party or, slurp, even ClusterFox, and for dessert, one final swipe at Former Half Gov MissMeYet McBattyPants… and the notion that she may be back like a persistent rash.
Go devour this one… it’s not even fattening.
