What is it with Pro-torture GOP candidate for president Tim Pawlenty hiring drunks? He seems to have quite a history of doing that.
Tim Pawlenty campaign manager Nick Ayers being pulled over and arrested for DWI in 2006.
Ayers’ first words to the police officer are: “We’re with Governor Perdue’s campaign headquarters.”
Yeah, that didn’t go over too well.
In 2006, Tim Pawlenty’s campaign manager, Nick Ayers, was running the reelection campaign of Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue. On October 25, just days before the election, Georgia State Troopers caught Ayers speeding, weaving, and apparently trying to evade pursuit. When he was stopped, Ayers failed a field sobriety test and refused to take a breath test. This video is taken from the dash-camera of the patrol car.
