All the cool kids are doing it. Seems to me someone thinks they might get picked up for second chair in a presidential race... Via Taegan-

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R), "knowing that his own status will certainly be examined in the event he ends up on a presidential ticket," released his birth certificate Friday, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

"The document, which includes the basic information found on Obama's long-form version, reveals that the governor was born at 12:27 p.m. on June 10, 1971; that his parents, who were living in student housing, listed their address as 'Physics Department LSU;' that the attending physician was a Dr. Rabalais; and that Piyush Jindal -- who as a young boy asked to be called Bobby -- has no middle name."

What's interesting is that, by the standards a good many birthers ascribe to, Piyush Jindahl is ineligible for the U.S. presidency. Both of his parents were in the U.S. on student visas; neither was a U.S. citizen. Mrs. Jindahl was pregnant with the pre-born Piyush when they emigrated form India to Baton Rouge. Many, if not most, birthers claim both parents, especially the father, must be U.S. citizens for a U.S.-born person to be eligible for the presidency unde the constitutional "natural born citizen" requirement. There is no constitutional requirement for such, and there seems to be no controlling authority in either federal law or U.S. Supreme Court precedent.

Well there you go, it's gotta be fake... whom in there right mind would live in the Physics Department?
I'm sure we will see this scenario on chalk board soon.

You know, (being highly distrustful of the Republicans) I wonder if this is now the start of a strategy (or is the word ' tactic' ; ) ) to 'flood the market' with Republican politicans' birth certificates in order to try and minimize the impact of the President releasing his long form? In other words, to try to cover up their absurd behaviour by having many birth certificates now floating in the public realm? Who's next, McCain? Then?

"Bobby"? Isn't that kinda like "Barry" who then decided to use his REAL name as an adult instead of a childhood nickname, which somehow offends people who don't like President Obama (and who like to include his middle name for extra emphasis on how "foreign-sounding" it might be)? How 'bout we all start calling "Bobby" Piyush now, as a reminder of how American he really is... it sounds so much more like an exotic melting-pot name! Couldn't get more American than that. Who cares what "Bobby" wants to be called! Pi-yush. PIyush. PiYUSH.

The fact that he is from their side and is releasing his short form(which was not good enough for the crazies in the presidents case) birth certificate to head off the exact same stupidity should he ever run, this isn't what america was founded on
