The case of New Civil Rights Movement v. Fitzgerald. All rise.
We need a little justice brought back to Wisonsin:
Dane County Judge Maryann Sumi has set a hearing for 8:30 a.m. Friday in a lawsuit brought by Dane County against the state over the passage of the collective bargaining law.
But Sumi told the parties today that she won’t have a decision on Friday, and will be out of town next week on a family obligation. [...]
The suit claims the bill contains substantial fiscal items that would have a detrimental impact on Dane County and its citizens, and that there were public meeting violations by the Joint Conference Committee that passed the bill Thursday.
