The "biggest rallies to date" will be held this Saturday. Good. More and sustained attention needs to be brought to the attempt by the GOP to crush unions under the guise of budget issues. This is about attaining single party rule by eliminating a major source of support of the Democratic party. This is about screwing with democracy and everyday Americans, not paychecks, as was made obvious by the punking of Scott Walker yesterday.

It's also about corporate power and easy access to and control of government officials.

The Nation's John Nichols is on the Thom Hartmann radio show right now (and made similar comments in the video above, from The Ed Show), discussing what the former U.S. Attorney General of Wisconsin said about Scott Walker's prank call convo:

"Serious ethics, election law, and labor law violations are concerning enough that they should be investigated."
