Jerry Brown’s statement about Meg Whitman allegations

Earlier I liveblogged the press conference at which Gloria Allred laid out the allegations about Meg Whitman’s hiring and mistreatment of an undocumented immigrant, Nicky Diaz.

Now Jerry Brown has a statement:

“Once again, Meg Whitman has shown that she thinks the rules don’t apply to her. From the start, Meg Whitman has failed to tell Californians the truth… Nicky Diaz has a compelling story, and it is our hope that she will be treated with respect and dignity as this story unfolds.”

This story better have real legs. Fizzling is not an option.

    The fact that Gloria is involved – I'm sure it will grow legs and other parts too!! Meggy will learn quickly that rumbling with Gloria that you don't usually come out on the winning side nor looking pretty by the end!! Hope Meggy holds a few bucks back in her war chest as she'll need it for bodily improvements after it's over!
