JB Are you kidding me? How dare you attack the Postal Service ….. YOU DIDN”T DO YOUR HOMEWORK…. YOU IMBECILE!!! The Postal Governer's Board were responsible for surrendering the parcel post service ……making way for rivals such as Fed Ex, Usp ,etc…… to become the mega businesses they are today!!!!!!!!
And Thank you MR. D'Amato for standing up for us ….and letting that racist pig have it!
    He has disrespected our service.
    Furthermore, we are AMERICANS.
Who are the fiber within the middle class work force ….WE pay higher taxes to support ” lifetime government salaries….
Are you seriously suggesting taking the Postal Service out of country ? …..Why not suggest the tearing down of the American/Mexican border?

Isn't it ironic that twenty years ago when the post office was the only option, we were important. Now that modern technology has drained the usfulness of the post office we are a waste. As far as the thousands of employees the postal service has hired, it has been years since the post office has hired any employees and in fact they are sytematically reducing their workforce. It is not so much the skill, even though many postal employees are college graduates, active reservists and retired military who have dedicated their lives to public service, but the elements such as dogs, weather conditions, and rude and abusive customers who treat public servants like door mats that make employees worthy of their pay. Go ahead, dismantle the post office, then you won't know who to call when that important piece of mail you were expecting doesn't show up. I guarantee that not one of you would survive thirty days in the service.

It is unfortunate to see some ignorant fat cats of this nation of ours who find pleasure to attack an AMERICAN INSTITUTION and that is what the United States Postal Service is, an institution that has been around since the formation of our country. Benjamin Franklin a well respected and known figure in our nation was the first Postmaster General of our country. It is through this same service, that communication/delivery was provided to the entire population of the United States for over two hundred years. To see how these extreme right political so- called analysts appear on Fox News to bash an institution they know nothing about, but instead, to provide a negative spin with no proof. Credibility on all the panel members, as well as, Fox leave to be desired. The fact that the United States Postal Service is comprised of the racial and ethicity of what is America today; as well it was back during the formation of our nation. Our panel members along with Fox, mock and belittle the members of the U.S. Postal Service, insinuating that they are ill trained, morons who are parasitical to this nation. What a CROC!

To have irresponsible journalism and a senator who proud themselves as being ELITE with the addage of I think this should be…! I imagine none of these elitists knew and if they did know, I still believe they wouldn't care anyway that many veterans comprise the workforce of the U.S. Postal Service. During their formative years up until the early 1990's when the internet became a viable means to be used as a vehicle to be exploited by the new emerging communications technology, all their written messages, all their care packages for college, even Christmas Gifts from mom, dad or grandma were probably processed and delivered by a Postal Worker. To say that the U.S.Postal Service is archaic, out of touch, that can be debated. UPS, FEDEX and many other private institutions, USE THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE TO DELIVER THEIR MAIL. Imagine that! FOX; as well as, the elitists commentators need to get their facts straight instead of producing sensationalism. Not everyone in America is blind and please leave the racist comments in the past where it belongs, we are now in thew 21st century and although you can't fathom the idea, the U.S. Postal Service is current with this century not out of touch like FOX and it's panel members. And to think I served this great nation in the armed services so that some elitist hipocrits would be able to propagate hate and misinformation to an able and informed America, what a disappointment.

Jack Berkley opens his mouth without having a clue what he is talking about. The USPS is NOT funded by the US government. It is a totally separate entity that is required by law to be separate from the government. The only time that the USPS gets into financial difficulty is when politicians, (who are supposed to represent thier constituents), butt in with laws that adversely affect the Postal Service. As to Jacks claim that postal employees are unskilled labor, I challenge him to even attempt to do my job. It is laughably beyond his skill level and capabilities.

  • Mike Walker

I cannot believe this guy Jack Burkman. I have worked for the Postal Service for 19 years. I resent his remarks for unskilled labor and we should be at the bottom of the work force. He should read this to show how the feds actually use the Post Office funds into their federal budget while not giving any money to the post office. http://www.uspsoig.gov/foia_files/ESS-WP-09-001.pdf I would put Jack Burkman up working with most postal employees and he probably would not make it until day 2. Burkman is one ignorant man.

  • Tko4irish

pardon my ignorance, but who is the woman next to D'Amato?

  • Luci

I am glad he got him.

  • Katinka

just for some back ground… the postal service has not received ANY government money since 1972.

  • HarborGuy

    I agree…this was great.

I love the look on Mr. Racist's face, when he was read the riot act.

It would be great if many more did that…BUT, I don't want it to happen before the fall voting.

I swear to Jeebus, what is the right's problem with the working class? Let just insult the people who deliver your mail. The icing on the cake would have been D'Amato taking that dude's highlighter and sticking it up his damn nose. Don't you people have chyrons for a reason? This clip totally made my day!!!
