A New Hampshire state legislator resigns after ‘dead Palin’ comment

Former Half-Gov Useless McNoPoint is the butt of many a joke here at TPC and elsewhere. However, one thing I, personally, will not do is wish death on anyone. That is not funny to me, nor tasteful:

(CNN)A New Hampshire state legislator resigned his office Thursday after becoming the second Democrat in as many days to speculate about Sarah Palin’s death on Facebook.

State Rep. Timothy Horrigan made the remarks Wednesday night in a thread discussing the Alaska plane crash that killed former Sen. Ted Stevens.

Well a dead Palin wd be even more dangerous than a live one…she is all about her myth & if she was dead she cldn’t commit any more gaffes,” Horrigan wrote.

Yeah, well, speaking of (deadly) gaffes, Tim…

Boundaries, people, boundaries.

I don't see this as wishing for Palin's death. This is more about pointing out the ramification or impact her death would have on her so-called legacy.

Now this remark by Mr. Horrigan's compatriot in the NH legislature, Mr. Halloran – THAT was tacky as hell. For instance, I haven't said shit about Ted Stevens to anyone. 'Speak no ill of the dead' (at least for a time). One thing Stevens did do – he brought it home for Alaska.

Horrigan was commenting on another post by a Democrat running for the state house, party activist Keith David Halloran, who found himself in hot water Wednesday after writing about the crash: “Just wish Sarah and Levy [sic] were on board.”
